Sept. 11, 2023 –

In cherishing the memory of the victims on that horrific day, Sept. 11, 2001, there are thousands of events across the country every year.

Commonly known as 9/11, on that morning four jets crashed into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, Flight 93 crashed in Penn., and the Pentagon was attacked.

Sponsored by al-Qaeda, the four commercial airliners were hijacked by 19 Islamist terrorists who suicide-bombed the buildings.

An aggregate of 2,996 people died in those devastating events. Nearly 21,000 people claiming injuries filed for benefits from the September 11th Compensation Fund. Many have been suffering from cancer from the buildings’ materials.

On every Sept. 11th, there are moments of silence. There are readings of the victims’ names. Church bells ring. There are candlelight vigils.

Then, there’s the Tribute in Light, which is produced by the Municipal Art Society of New York.

But if we really want to cherish the memory of the 9/11 victims, we’re falling far short of the goal. Why? We’re not doing our best to prevent more victims of terrorism.

There are at least four reasons:

  1. President Biden is the first president who won’t participate in 9/11 ceremonies to remember that awful day. Instead, he’s in Alaska canceling oil drilling.
  2. As a result of his disastrous Afghanistan exit, there are new threats facing America.
  3. According to a published report, the threat of terror still exists in still exists.
  4. Thanks to President Biden, President Barack Obama’s Iran deal has again emboldened terrorists after it was trashed by his successor for good reasons by President Trump.

So, instead of adequately observing 9/11 today and celebrating the defeat of the Taliban, President Biden has given the enemy more money, $80 billion in weapons, more territory and an unknown number of American hostages whom he left behind.

Early evidence of continuing threats

Actual terrorist attacks had plummeted under President Trump, after a report released Sept. 10, 2015 by the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Homeland Security indicates the number of terrorist cases in the U.S. jumped to 124 in 2015 from 38 in five years.

In 2014, there were 20 ISIS attack plots. In 2015, there were 37. Of the 57 terrorists’ schemes, 20 targeted the U.S.

ISIS released another hit list of American government employees, including service members. Most terror attack plots since 2014 targeted police and U.S. service members.

More than 250 Americans have either journeyed or tried to journey to Syria to fight for ISIS.

The federal government admits that 60,000 foreign students might have overstayed their visas. At least, 6,000 of them are facing investigation.

Former Rep. Peter King (R-NY), who retired in 2021, charged that universities cast a blind eye to the issue because they’re able to charge top tuition to foreign students. It’s also believed that many such foreign students have been heading the campus demonstrations against the U.S. and Israel.

Regarding the thousands of Syrian refugees, in published reports Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was quoted as saying his agency has a major concern. The huge wave of refugees is closely tied to shocking implications of President Obama’s nuke deal, but more on that later.

“As they descend on Europe, one of the obvious issues that we worry about, and in turn as we bring refugees into this country, is exactly what’s their background?,” he said. We don’t obviously put it past the likes of ISIL to infiltrate operatives among these refugees.

Remember President Obama’s Iran nuke deal

One has to ask a couple of questions:

  1. Why did President Obama and other Democrats frantically force the Iran nuke deal despite a CNN poll showing most Americans wanted Congress to reject it?
  2. Why does Iran, a country with such rich oil reserves, need nuclear capabilities? The answer is simple. It’s an international villain.

Even the U.S. Secretary of State’s office cites Iran as the chief sponsor of terror in the world. Iranian leaders have frequented shouted “death to America” and have overtly threatened Israel.

Iran has given $6 billion each year to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s war on his own people, according to a United Nations’ report. Since 2011, more than 220,000 Syrians have been killed and more than 11.6 million have lost their homes.

The agreement released $150 billion to Iran without a guarantee that the money won’t fund more terrorism. With dubious checks and balances, nor does it guarantee Israel’s safety and that after 10 years Iran will never use nuclear weapons.

Iran has continued to be a violent instigator of unrest and terrorism as evidenced by its seizure of oil tankers.

The bottom-line:

Until we fire President Biden, stop surrendering to terrorists, tolerating Iran’s behavior with its threats of terror, and leaving Americans behind as hostages, we’re not cherishing the memory of the 9/11 victims.
